I forgot to pack a pot in my suitcases down here. Which means, for dinner, I cooked my pasta in a skillet. It mostly worked. I have an electric stove here. I've not had an electric stove in something like five years.
Managed to get to the knitting group today. And got my new library card in the process. It is good to check out at any library in Allegheny county. The knitting group was interesting. My understanding is it usually bigger, though only three other people were there today. It was nice, and I want to try to go at least a couple times a month. The con is this particular library is a bite of a hike. Definitely not walkable. Where I am is on one side of town, where the library is clear across the other. The town is not very big, but still. Opposite ends.
I also did a test walk to where I'll be working starting Monday. It will be about a 25 minute walk. Definitely will need to invest in a reflective vest, however, as part of the walk has no sidewalks, and I will be very much walking in the narrow shoulder of the road.
