and brownies,

Today at work, I had another one of those moments of triumph. I've been trying to track down a particular thesis, published in the 1980s, which is nowhere to be found on the Internet. I do mean NOWHERE. Not even WorldCat had anything. Luckily, I had recently set up an Inter-Library Loan account with the University if was published, and I put in my request. They email me back; they do not have it. Email a document delivery service we use; they do not have it.
Finally, with one of those "well, it can't hurt" ideas, I call the Department at the University in which the thesis had been associated. They have a copy. Paper-bound, nothing electronic. They agree to FedEx it to us. We have to return it, of course, and once we have it, I get to spend the time to scan all 116 pages of it. Which oddly, I'm looking forward to? It's the maps, I think. I am really loving all the maps I get to inventory and catalog.
Other than that. I wrote my first poem tonight in two years. An early-draft is currently posted via my Patreon page (srmaclin there too) for patrons.
