Yarn Parties and Harry Potter tattoos.

Saturday, I made a new friend.

Last weekend, when AH visited, on Sunday, we visited a local yarn store. The staff mentioned the next Saturday (this one just past) was their one year anniversary party, and there would be cake and champagne, and to come by.

I debated most of the week. Saturday morning found me at my go-to knitting group at the library. Seeing as the Library is on the other side of town from me, I knew I needed to stay in that side, as the bus I needed was also that side of town. Luckily, a new coffee shop recently opened. They have the best mugs.

(This coffeeshop is definitely the type I like to write in. Alas, I did not have my laptop with me on Saturday, so more knitting happened. But I am definitely going back with my laptop.)

Did eventually make my way to the Yarn store party. I bought some yarn for a sweater I want to knit for the fall. Had a piece of cake, and stood awkwardly around, upon which I noticed someone's Harry Potter themed tattoo, complimented it, and we proceeded to talk for the next two hours of the event.

Harry Potter brings people together, don't you know.

I also learned the store's owner and one of the employees both grew up/lived in the Connecticut town I grew up in. Small world.

This Monday morning has me recording well data. Better get back to it.
