Visiting the Phipps

Back in February, we bought a membership to the Phipps Conservatory. On Sunday, I took advantage, taking the bus downtown to see the Super Natural - Glass Art by Jason Namrath, the Butterfly Forest, and Barbara the Corpse Flower.

(The glasswork was particularly neat. In some cases, how we see plants is not the same as the insects see plants. Unlike us, they cannot see colors on the red/green spectrum, so rather than create in the colors we can see, he created items in the way they would see.)

(The butterfly forest was enchanting.)
