Too many mcguffins

Hello friends. It's been a while.

The aftermath of the broken filing cabinet and the rage-filing from my last entry? We're getting new filing cabinets. Two of them. The broken one has also since been fixed. It's hilarious, really. Boss even came in to look at the filing cabinet, and could not get the drawer to close. Some days later, I pulled someone else in with the idea we'd need to break the filing cabinet further, and then to help me remove all the files from said filing cabinet. Well, this person kicked the broken drawer closed to be able to open the other drawers, and lo and behold, they all opened and closed correctly.

I am still getting the two new filing cabinets. As we need all the space we can get.

This past Tuesday, C. and I made another visit to the Strip District. The area is quickly becoming one of our favorites in downtown Pittsburgh. This visit, we had dinner at an Argentinean restaurant. The food was superb. C. got a spicy pork sandwich, while I got a salad with caramelized onions and avocado - I love avocado - and shared sides of mushrooms, honey-glazed carrots, and empenadas - one veggie, one chicken.

After dinner, we walked around the Strip District a bit. We timed dinner perfectly, as when we arrived, we had maybe a ten minute wait to order and to get a table, and when we walked out, the line was out the door.

There's been other adventures this week too. Visiting Moon Park ahead of a fantastic thunderstorm to catch the latest Pokemon nested there. We drove home while watching the lightening forking in the sky. Boardgaming on Friday. Last night, for C.'s birthday, we went to see a D&D improv comedy show in Pittsburgh's cultural district. The group has a podcast, which C. listens to; I do not.

In both our cases, the show was disappointing live. Too many mcguffins, too all over the place, not enough coherent plot. There were some good character moments, but overall, it had C. severely disappointed, and does not have me clamoring to listen to the podcast.
